I have decided to start a blog to start a grassroots effort to generate excitement for republicans/conservatives. After reflecting on the 2008 election, in which Obama won by a landslide, I am getting more and more motivated to start a grassroots effort for MY GENERATION. Of course, I welcome those older…but my main goal is to give those up to say age 30 a different perspective. I want people who are in high school, college, or even out of college but still in the young, fun, chic crowd that it is OK to hear another perspective that does NOT include citing resources such as The New York Times, Newsweek, Oprah, celebrities, The View, Jon Stewart, Colbert, The Today Show, South Park, The Family Guy (I could really go on and on). I want people to think that possibly there is a reason certain fundamentals of the Republican Party are GREAT, and we should not be embarrassed or ashamed of our beliefs, but instead be proud of it.
I am also irritated that our Party in the 2008 election was painted as old and out of touch. McCain is 72 and he ran against a cool guy in his 40′s…automatically the “hip” factor was just not there. In addition, if you watched the RNC, you automatically felt that the crowd had just hit the early bird special before going to the Convention, and that they had an ambulance there in case one of the elderly fans broke a hip. It was a geriatrics convention!!!! THIS IS THE IMAGE OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, and I intend the change it.
MY first message: for those who are about to go to college, are in college, or have been out for several years, I ask you what shaped your beliefs? Because it is NO SECRET that college professors and campuses across the country promote a liberal cause. Do you really know what you truly believe, or are you just going along with the flow because it is cool? That is my challenge to you all.
I will write a lot more from now on, but this is my first post and am trying to get everything organized before I start going off!
I hear you loud and clear. I am glad to hear more young conservatives like you caring about our country. I am glad to say that Carrie and I have been called to make a difference in this easily swayed society. We are doing it, but everyone can do more. You know that if there is anything is involving a fight for good to win, I’m right in the middle of it!
I believe what will be the most important thing for the youth of USA after they make an eternal decision to follow Christ and have the Holy Spirit lead them is to gather a true knowledge of this nation and world’s history, equip ourselves with how countries, nationalities, and kingdoms have come and gone. The “left” consider themselves as the true intellectuals. Commonly, the “right” is known as out of touch or closed-minded.
Besides the fact that traditional democrats and republicans that I knew growing up and my parents grew up with are nothing like the candidates that ran in 2008, the more that a redeemed conservative will acquire knowledge based upon self-initiated research, and not rely on the “true” history lessons of our Universities and Colleges, the more we can make an impact and therefore pro-long a safer and more decent environment for our next generation to thrive in.
All of what we are in is much, much deeper than what we understand because ultimately God has total control over all of this, and the least we can do is pray…

about time! i totally agree, i know i’m only 15 and to everyone older, my opinion prob seems pointless and invalid, but i have an opinion 2. our country is going 2 the dump with all this liberal crap. in Michigan medicinal marijuana is now legal and we (well i guess i can’t vote yet, so it’d b “they”) decided 2 tax themselves (on second thought i’m the one being taxed, so it’d be us) to have stem cell research which yea, it’s gr8 until we get in2 human cloning and the fact that they get stem cells from ABORTED BABIES!
btw, i’m loving tht we just elected a megaphone as president ‘cuz all oBOMBa does is listen 2 other democratic leaders and do what they tell him 2. may as well get rid of the president and have a senate of democrats!
Becca…NEVER say your opinion is pointless or invalid!!! You will be able to vote in the next Presidential election…your opinion absolutely matters and you shouldn’t be forced to be silent just because you didn’t go along with the crowd. This is why I am doing this blog!!!

Becca, I’m glad you’re growing leaps and bounds with your knowledge of the untrustworthiness of many parts of our system. Don’t stop!
By the way, there is that “leadership” that is the counsel to politicians (which the ones running for office are actually just puppets). They are powerful bipartisan elitists. It’s a bureaucracy of powerful underground elitists that put who they want in office to feed themselves. I have seen some of this in action, been a tool for their missions in Government work, and saw enough to want to truly stand up and fight for this country.

There is a “March for Life” taking place on Jan 22, 2009 in Denver, Co. This march is standing up for the rights of the innocent babies being murdered. Circle your calendar cuz there will be something coming up in Denver Jan 22, and it may include a free concert. Becca, Thank you so much for expressing your thoughts.
